Perigean Technologies has developed some remarkable and novel uses of
existing tools for knowledge capture and representation. Their vision
for corporate applications of Concept Mapping is one that takes
seriously the notion of the knowledge-based organization. Setting them
well apart from the crowd is their focus on grounding the activity on
solid scientific evidence rather than spin or hype. This is refreshing.
They have a keen insight into the knowledge preservation strategies
that businesses will need to succeed in the future, and an appreciation
of how to integrate the strategies into
the
work that must to be accomplished. They are a shining star in knowledge
management: capturing, organizing and presenting expert knowledge. I am
confident they will enrich the methodology, taking it beyond what I and
others have accomplished, taking the field to new levels of
productivity, efficiency and applicability.

effective human / software system, and they are skilled in capturing,
organizing, and distilling-through well-founded processes-the specific
ingredients that will provide their customers with the maximal
opportunities for insight and innovation. As a subcontractor and key
member of the General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems Team on an
important contract, Perigean Technologies is helping to define and
develop a new software tool that supports one of our customer's current
business processes, and which will help our customer to achieve new
synergies across a broad spectrum of business practices that are,
collectively, critical to their mission success. Perigean Technologies

is a standout. They are a quick study in new domains, and able to take
in volumes of information and rapidly identify the crux of the issues.
They are responsive and responsible. There are very few people in this
field who can turn around a good, thorough product as quickly as they
can. I trust them to represent me to my customers, and that's perhaps
the highest praise I can give them.
Perigean Technologies
has been a tremendous resource. Our unit had rapidly developed a
capability that has since made a major impact on the Global War on
Terror. During this process we didn't have the time to think about
training the end users until it was almost time for them to deploy. We
needed to efficiently capture the know-how of the few critical experts
who developed, refined and tested this completely new biometric tool
set. We had months of know-how and lessons learned, and needed to
quickly turn that into a total instructional product, one that became
part of the system and goes forward where the experts can't be.
Perigean Technologies' innovative approach to capturing expertise and
turnkey product development is exactly what we needed. They provided a
deployable product in very short order, and were flexible to our high
operational tempo. Thanks to their efforts, we're seeing a dramatic
decline in trouble calls from around the globe. The efficient operation
of this tool set is identifying terrorists around the world. Next time
we are going to bring them in early in the development process so we
get it right from the start.
Working with Perigean
Technologies, the Security Analysis and Risk Management Association
(SARMA) was able to develop an elegant approach to a long-standing
problem in the security profession - the lack of a common lexicon.
Using a variety of concept mapping techniques, SARMA began successfully
addressing a problem that has stymied the profession for decades. I
don't think we would have been successful without Perigean
Technologies. Their creativity and clear thinking made our project a
